.22 for Self Defense Update: 81 Year old man kills attacker

81 Year Old Defends Himself in his home in PA - One Career Criminal Retired Permanently

A little .22 did the job.  Don't feel under-gunned if you can't handle anything else.  It's better than a club or a kitchen knife.  Actually, I'd have all three in the house ready for use.  The nice thing about the .22 is that if it doesn't stop them you've made it known you are willing to resist.   That is much better than submission.  Just because it didn't stop them doesn't mean the fight is over.  Sometimes they run and sometimes the fight has just begun.

Media, Globalists and Leftists in Post Election Frenzy

NYT claims to change and report honestly
I'll believe this when I see it.

Liberals Vow Revolution
So far they threaten their own party, but expect it to spread.

Protesters
They use all the ism names with no proof.  This is the leftist playbook.

Scenes from the Liberal Meltdown
Had the election gone the other way Trump supporters would have gone back to work to pay for the liberals who seem to have time for protesting every day.  These could be professional protestors.

Book Review: The Adventurer's Guide to the Outdoors

100 Essential Skills for Surviving in the Wild

Copyright 2013 Perrem & Cave Limited

By Universe Publishing

262 Pages

This is a basic reference book for someone desiring to learn about outdoor survival if they can find it at the library or buy it used for a very low cost.  However, it is not a book I'd add to my survival library simply because most of the information can be gleaned from online sources.

I checked on Amazon and you can find the book used for less than a dollar so for the additional 3.99 shipping you're up to about $5.  For that price I could say it might be worth it for a reference book if you are working on your wilderness survival skills.

Still, I found much of the information generic and some things not accurate according to what I know here in the USA.  For instance, it states that Lyme disease is deadly and to the best of my knowledge and of all the sources I've read about it I have never heard that.  It can do lots of damage to you but death is not the biggest risk of Lyme as compared to many other tick borne diseases.  Maybe they have a more extreme version of Lyme in Britain where I believe this book originated.

It is entertaining for browsing though even the artwork consists of B&W drawings.

Invasion Update: France - loss of privacy,

French creates database on every resident, citizen
This is caused supposedly by ID theft but the true cause is the flood of  migrants that include radicals and criminals invading the country just like it has in the USA.   The culture is collapsing as well as the rule of law and this is close to the last gasp of Western Culture in France.  They will sacrifice everything on the altar of the Brussels inspired invasion.

Texas town at Breakpoint
Illegals flooding the town have crushed the budget.  President enjoys taking down another Red State and any place where American culture once was dominant.

MS-13 gaining power
More benefits of open borders and another reason to thank our current leadership.

Open Border warning by Border Patrol
They know what the main crime is and that is letting the dogs of war loose on American citizens by importing criminals by the millions.  This is the final vengeance, or maybe not the final act, but the most culturally destructive of the USA that the Executive branch has caused.

ak74 vs ak47

Comparison - great article

I prefer the lighter weight, lower recoil, and greater accuracy and range of the 74.  The previously available cheaper surplus ammo was such a great deal that it essentially meant you got the ak74 free ($350.),  if you bought a crate of ammo, 2 tins.

Now the ammo price is up to the others since the surplus is no longer available, but the non-corrosive foreign manufacture versions are available online.  I even spotted some at Wally World recently.

Invasion Update: NYC Free Stuff, Paris new Calais, USA Border Wide Open

NYC gives out free stuff for 1 million illegals- no status required
That's a great way to attract more of the same.  After they get a start then they move to anywhere else in the country they choose if the Open Borders crowd wins.

Paris the New Calais - flooding with migrants

Book Review: The Reaper

By Nicholas Irving

Book on CD

This is a good book for a lot of reasons.  It is good example of the mindset of a warrior.  He was raised in a military family and everything he did throughout his life was preparation for the task he eventually mastered, an elite military sniper.  You don't have to become a soldier to take notes and put some of the ideas to use in the defense of yourself and your family.

Some key points.

He was dispassionate about the targets.  They were only real in the sense they were threats, but he stayed away from hatred and anger.  Instead he focused on neutralizing the enemy in a methodical fashion.

He trained regularly and everything he did seemed to move toward improving his skills and knowledge as a fighter.

He didn't fall in love with equipment and instead focused on functional reliability and whatever improved mission outcomes.

Overall impression.

You'll learn about the challenges and risks that face our most precious citizens who take up arms for our country.  These men sacrifice safety, comfort, and income to do this job and knowing how poorly they are often treated by our government during deployment and after they get home it should make angry.  The efforts and what appears to be wasted efforts in many cases as we walk away from long fought wars in distant places and wasted lives of our own and the so called enemy it makes it clearer that these wars in the end come to no good.

What is impressive is the quality of the individuals that do the fighting.  It should hold you in awe as your realize that these same men could have taken easy paths in life but chose to do this.

This is a great book, and especially as an audio book.  I highly recommend it.
