At least with a predator biped you can make them reconsider their aggression by showing resistance in the form of words, physical actions like grabbing a weapon, or actually displaying one. Facebook Decline in Traffic - Youtube Gains
I can't say that it bothers me at all to see Facebook take a hit in traffic especially since they may have been meddling within the political sphere to change the outcome of elections.
50 Shades of Gray Lady- Against Censorship of Hate Speech
This opinion piece is notification that they are worried that the current speech control focused on conservatives and the right might be used against the far left someday, but of course not today and not anytime soon based on recent experience. Calling things said and written by Alex Jones as repugnant is laughable. Though some of the Jones approach is wild it hardly comes across as extreme relative to the violent rhetoric coming from the left that seems to go untouched by the news media, social media, and the speech police. Overall, this may just be an attempt by the NYT to cover their tracks that along with the networks is all over the smear campaigns against the right. Fake News is something all of them traffic in so it is amusing when they suggest that Infowars and Alex Jones should be singled out and punished for it. Let it all out in the open and let those of us who look at all sources of information decide what passes the smell and logic test. Often, Jones has elements of truth in his claims that despite their conspiratorial tone have actual evidence to back up the claims. Good examples include the fake Russia Narrative that he exposed as well as the obvious well worked plan to eviscerate American leadership and supremacy in the world and hand it over to much more totalitarian regimes like China.
