Drudge believes it is the U.S. government that ran the attack. At this point can anyone say that the current administration has any boundaries when it comes to retaliation or violation of law. This is an administration that used the IRS against political opponents in national elections and never faced legal punishments for it. It has used disinformation on many fronts including Benghazi. Nothing appears out of bounds for this group. This may be the retaliation that BHO had suggested will come against Russia since anyone who didn't support the Democrats in this last election is a Russian agent. It is comical.
Roadblocks for incoming Administration
Nothing like this has been done before in the USA. We have diabolically sick people in charge right now. If they could find a way it appears obvious they'd hold onto power no differently than any other dictator.

Obama's bid to snub voters and tie Trump's Hands
This is a good explanation of what is happening under the outdoing Administration.
The malevolent sickness and foul airs in the town now known as Mordor among freedom loving Americans has at its center the current president. He is not willing to let go of power and so intends to cement his actions into place despite the will of the voters.
What does all this mean. It means that the rot of our political system is nearing the dying phase of a Republic. While we can hope Trump actually does drain the swamp there will be terrible resistance to it from both parties. They may take it out on Trump at first and the voters to follow.
