5G network - a strategic resource

Normally I wouldn't be in favor of a government built or controlled ecosystem but from a national survival point of view it may be the only safe option.  We already have lower tier 3G and 4G-LTE systems that work well enough as reserve components so this may be the proper approach.

Another thing is that down the road a new technology may bypass all of the current wireless systems.
