California is so concerned about illegals that it forgets about Americans.   How about considering the homeless Americans before paying for more illegals to live there.

So, given a license by California though he wasn't a citizen or legal resident he was able to become an Uber driver.  Since a license is a state form of ID Uber has to accept that as proof of legal residency.  Insurance companies as well must take this as proof.  Going further might involve legal problems for companies.  Meanwhile, American women are raped.  These are young college age girls who have had their lives ruined thanks to California and their disregard for U.S. law.  When will the U.S. start incarcerating the state and local officials that are blatantly ignoring Federal Law and putting all Americans at risk.

What to do to protect yourself:  Sadly, your only protection is to avoid interacting with menacing individuals when possible.  It's not obvious other than that who is here legally since we have had open borders and continue to import millions of individuals from countries with alternate views of law and culture.  Your best bet is trust no one.  Since that is not possible the other option is to keep your interactions with others such as taxis, ride-sharing, and other services to a minimum.  I'd rather rent a car than take the risk of getting attacked or a disease.

As for other business interactions I'd stay with those you know that only hire legal residents.
