Surviving a Pandemic

This is a good article on how to prepare for and understand a pandemic so that you can survive it.

I think the one thing that makes the most sense in the article is what I think is the one essential and that is social distancing.  That means staying home and not sharing airspace with others who might be infected.  That is hard to do unless you're retired or financially independent.  But if things get rolling and it becomes clear that going anywhere puts you at risk you should find a way to bug in.  Living on your own detached home location whether it's a farm or just a lot in a subdivision can give you what you need for distancing.  Consider it now rather than later when the time arrives.  Think of how long you can sit it out.
