This is supposed to be a business article yet the first line of the article states "President Trump is obsessed with a wall, and he claims it’s necessary to make the U.S. border with Mexico safer."
When you think of a business article you hope to presuppose that there is some semblance of balance and objectivity and relationship to business. Calling a president obsessed outs the position of the writer from the beginning. There is no balance. Also, deceptively using the word "claims," to indicate it is a possible fraud without proof like an infomercial for vitality or hair growth is about average nowadays for what pretends to be news.
A few facts should pointed out. First, let's say the wall could cost up to $50 billion to build while current estimates are around $35 billion or so. Illegal immigration costs the country easily $100 billion per year in crime, education costs, medical costs, housing costs, and subsistence payments. This doesn't count the reduced help available to seniors thanks to priorities that often put illegals ahead of Americans in most of the categories. If you don't believe it just notice that Spanish is always printed on the other side of the forms for assistance of any kind. Meanwhile, Veterans and Americans are held to income standards, ID requirements, and a multitude of other restrictions that force them to go broke before they are eligible for almost any assistance.
Allowing an endless flow of low skilled labor with many requiring public assistance so somehow this is supposed to help the public trough for future retirees. Don't count on it. The political calculation is to have a large enough voting bloc of new arrivals that they will be able to vote down any protections from retirees while voting for their own free stuff.

While our politicians sit idly back and do nothing but collect payments from the thieves at the top many Americans are struggling and must work until their last days. Meanwhile, refugees are given free housing, free medical, free food, and cash. Oh, add free education for their kids too or for their college while Americans have to pay for their own by going into debt.
American Veterans are treated worse than illegals by far since they rarely can qualify for the list of free goodies that come with just showing up.
If you want to safe and not to mention comfortable retirement I suggest you plan for taking care of yourself which includes savings, investing, paying off your home, and getting rid of all debt before you retire. Find a way to insure that you'll have most of your medical costs covered but don't rely on promises from corporate plans since they will often gut the plans to fill their own pockets.
As they say when the enemy has overrun your position.

Another thing is that the CDC apparently doesn't want Americans to be aware of the risk out there.
And finally, health officials don't want Americans to know how little they know and can do to stop things like this especially when a society is opened up to random visitors from around the world who can step on an aircraft and be here in hours or they just walk across the Northern or Southern border and disappear into a city.

Betrayal of the Rule of Law by law enforcement officials is a precursor for anarchy. When a citizen of the USA has more to worry about than a non-citizen illegal alien that commits a crime then you know that the world we grew up in is undone. These criminals, and by these I mean the prosecutors, have taken it upon themselves to set social policy by treating illegal immigrants-aliens better than Americans in the legal system.
What to do: I would say vote out the people that appoint these lawbreaking prosecutors but the whole states where these antics are in play are now populated by the blue pill crowd who hates their own culture and seems intent on self immolation.
What to really do: Live you life in a place that affords you a quality of life consistent with the old days and if that means moving to a jurisdiction that is old style then do so. You'll be better off.
Knowing that illegals have a get out of jail free card you should treat them as potential aggressors and keep your distance and avoid confrontations. They will get the benefit of the doubt while you may end up behind bars. Such is the case in a declining society.

Welcome to your new way of life England. I'd like to say that I'm somehow enjoying your misery in a Schaudenfrede kinda way, but no, it's not like the feelings I have for Sweden where they still rub their multicul creds in our face here in the USA. They have fully deserved what is coming home to roost there though I know there are probably many Swedes that didn't like the flood of migrants brought in over the decades. I always wanted to visit London but now see no point. It is no longer London.
England, well it's probably a result of the colonies that got you where you are. Here in the USA we just have left wing politicians that desire nothing but power and are willing to destroy our way of life to get the votes necessary to cement their power in place forever. Forever of course is until we are subsumed by the hordes brought in here and they push us out by outbreeding us. We're too busy working to pay for their free ride to have the time to raise large families.

This is a sad story, but it happens ever day in the USA in some way or another. We are being destroyed by the disregard for our immigration laws.
Kalifornia is the prime example of what is coming for the rest of the USA if this madness isn't halted. In the case of Britain I'd hazard a guess that London is your California example. As for the rest of Europe, well Sweden, France, and maybe Germany are about to get their wake up.
Outcome: My prediction. War in the Streets one way or another. Either the scimitar will be swinging toward a Caliphate or the pitchforks of the citizenry will be brought to bear. Lives will be lost, or should I say those lives are already accumulating. Women will be raped and lives will be changed all in the name of Multicultural globalist universal governance and control. Sorry if I don't join in the celebration.
