In a very minor show of justice coming from the Justice Department the Deputy Director of the FBI has had his sunny retirement plans scuttled by a last hour act of Jeff Sessions.  This is the first little sign that Sessions may be feeling some pressure to act according to the law rather than as an establishment deep state tool.  He still has a long way to go and one wonders what he is doing about Rosenstein and his clear work in favor of the Clinton/Obama machine by hiring a special counsel to investigate the Trump campaign but sees nothing regarding the Clinton connection to Russia whether Uranium One or the Fake Dossier.

Will Sessions Appoint a Second Special Counsel - Pressure Builds
It seems as if Sessions was a setup from the beginning.  He probably was part of the Preibus deal for keeping the RNC in alignment with Trump.  The immediate recusal from Sessions regarding the Russia Collusion narrative indicates he was in on it or just slow witted and easily manipulated.  In either case he has been a disaster for the Trump Presidency and the country.
