Federal Retirees: Living Fat

Proposed Cuts has them upset

Of course we all would be upset if the gravy train of the federal trough meant less for us.  But most federal employees are well compensated and unlike back in the 1970's and earlier when you were told that the security of the job justified less compensation than the private sector, now the federal employees are paid much more and their retirement plans are of course based on this excessive pay level.  Add to that health care beyond what most in the private sector can expect and you have a special class of people who are held above the rest of us that are actually paying for this largesse.


The rest of us are left to fend for ourselves.  Re-align federal pay with the private sector or better yet, cut it to 20% below it.
