This would be a joke if it weren't so serious of a subject.  The corruption is most apparent in terms of political bias against Trump by almost all of the agencies he's supposedly corrupting.  Look at the source of the story and you'll make the obvious conclusion that this qualifies as FAKE NEWS.  The previous administration corrupted most every aspect of the government and ignored laws and precedent regularly.  Stimulus money was sent to pay off Unions, cash was paid to Iran, American Uranium was sold to Russia, and on and on it went and continues years after BHO left.  If anything can explain the corruption index change for the USA it was 8 years of the previous rot.

Why Americans can't expect a comfortable retirement anymore

It comes down to lies, greed, and a broken social contract.  While our politicians sit idly back and do nothing but collect payments from the thieves at the top many Americans are struggling and must work until their last days.  Meanwhile, refugees are given free housing, free medical, free food, and cash.  Oh, add free education for their kids too or for their college while Americans have to pay for their own by going into debt.

American Veterans are treated worse than illegals by far since they rarely can qualify for the list of free goodies that come with just showing up.

If you want to safe and not to mention comfortable retirement I suggest you plan for taking care of yourself which includes savings, investing, paying off your home, and getting rid of all debt before you retire.  Find a way to insure that you'll have most of your medical costs covered but don't rely on promises from corporate plans since they will often gut the plans to fill their own pockets. 

As they say when the enemy has overrun your position.
