Government Goons: Overreach, Underreach, Propaganda, and Corruption

 Overreach

IRS gets a license to Kill
This formalizes the ability of the government to stifle speech and limit the activities of political action groups that are not approved by the executive branch.  We are now clearly in a post constitutional phase of government now more accurately described as a dictatorship than a Republic.

State Department Goons at Work
A whistle blower's gmail account was hacked and all messages were deleted.  His lawyer had all of his computers stolen.  What do you think is going on.  I know that this is no coincidence and what we have here is part of the pattern of criminal activity from the executive branch that continues unabated.  They are brazen so keep in mind that if you draw their ire that you can expect anything to come your way.  The lesson they are trying to teach us is to keep our mouths shut, submit.

GPS may be installed in all new vehicles.
They want total control and total information.  This could also generate great revenue as well as becoming the ever present spy in your vehicle.

Propaganda

The two most admired.
The only way this could happen is by media massaging combined with the big lie.

Drones are not for protection, they are weapons.
They are used to take people out and apparently they are good at that but are not good at discerning whether they should be taken out.  Mistakes happen all the time.  The propaganda put out there is that they can pick up such detail that it is easy to identify combatants.

Underreach

Cop gets 2 years for anal probes
You can't make this sick stuff up.  He performed anal cavity searches illegally and in many cases without gloves.  What else is there to say except he must have liked doing it.

Corruption and Irresponsiblitity

Chicago Pensions to go Bust
This is what decades of corruption can bring to a government.

Big Gov Goons - Fail

Anti gun movement had setbacks in this top 5 pro gun moments of 2013.
Though some of the usual states ramped up their gun control laws there were many failures to tighten the rules.

.22 Long Rifle Ammo Update - Wally World

Finding .22 LR at Wally World is still the best deal.  I just came across a delivery of CCI 500 round bricks for $28.50 which is $10 more than it was a year ago and more than double what it was before the 2008 election.

Last year you could get a brick of 550 rounds for $18.50 before the crunch and by March gun show prices were up to $100+ for the same bricks.

Online prices for .22 LR are still ridiculous but if you really want some then pay the piper.  Otherwise, drop by Wally World regularly and hope for the best.  I just got lucky today but unless you know when the delivery trucks come in it is just a matter of luck.

The current limit at Wally World is 3 boxes of ammunition.

In Memoriam: Mikhail Kalashnikov

We will miss a master of design.
He was still coming up with designs based on his original one.

He designed the most successful firearm of all time.
I love the AK design.  It works every time and is simple.

Sitrep: Mosquito Alert in Americas, Post Collapse Skills, Incandescent Light Bulbs

 Pandemics and Insect Borne Diseases

A new form of mosquito borne disease is now in the Americas.
It won't be long before it is on the USA mainland along with every other mosquito borne disease once thought eradicated here.  If you must work outside I suggest trying Bug-Tamer suits along with some type of repellent when working outside.

Scientists dispute claim that they are making viruses more virulent.
Research is one thing but this really is Pandora"s box.  I don't trust most of what these people say after watching the global warming lies put out by scientists.

Post Collapse Skills

Here is a short list of things you need to be able to do if the grid goes down.

Incandescent Bulbs

You know they are taking away the last of our inexpensive incandescent light bulbs due to environmental lunacy.    Notice the euphemism phase-out in this article from Wikipedia.
Banned is a more appropriate description since it is banned and though done in phases to sound softer and less final, it is final unless we force the fools in government to turn things around.

Here is one way a company is getting around it.  They are selling rough service bulbs that last longer as well.  Sure, they still can't match the cheaper price of the old ones but isn't that what government is all about, adding more layers of cost to our lives.

The myths about the bulb ban.

A freedom perspective on the legitimacy of the bulb ban.
We all know this is BS when the government tells us how to live, what to eat, and what light bulbs we are allowed to use.

Ammo Availability Update December 2013 - A year after the crush began.

It is out there, though not plentiful and not at a cheap price.

Looking around online you'll find the new bottom basement price for 9mm FMJ brass case ammo newly manufactured is no lower than .26 per round and usually over .30 per round.  This is up from .20 cents per round prior to the mass purchases by the DHS beginning a year ago.  Yes, public panic and hoarding has added to the cost and availability but make no mistake about it that the price increases are every bit as much a function of market forces caused by supply dislocations of government tampering.   These supply disruptions are either through new legislation or forward purchase contracts for billions of rounds by the government that are paid for with printed money that are really nothing more than loans against our future earnings when taxed.  It is intentional.

Gun Show Pricing  - Mid Atlantic Region

9mm - .35 cents per round minimum for FMJ.  It seems that the only way to get good prices for this is online.  Many gun shops are charging close to $25-29 per box of 50 for range ammo.  The cheapest I have found with a limit of 1 box per session is $18.95.

.22 - There is nothing out there still unless you happen to walk in at the right time at Wally World.  There are gun shops that do have it at a current pricing of close to .15 per round for standard Long Rifle.  High velocity rounds like stingers are running no less than $8.95 per 50 where a year before the same box was $5.50.  By my calculations this is a 63% (62.72727) increase that has stabilized for high end .22 rounds like the CCI Stinger, when available.  5.50 x .63 = 3.465  + 5.50 = 8.965.

Standard .22 for a brick of 550 rounds is at $45 per brick.  This is now 2.5 times the original cost  or a 150% increase since last year.  You will only find this price at gun shops that happen to get a delivery.

In reality, checking this .22 online ammo price bot  the price per round is closer to .25 or .30 per round since you can rarely find a brick sized amount.  Most are per 50 round boxes and when you add in shipping it almost becomes a joke to be shooting .22 versus 9mm any more.  I'd switch over to .22 or .177 air rifles for long gun range training.    For handguns I'd go for 9mm or if you want to emulate a .22 just use .22 CB caps or shorts in a revolver.  Those are still available and somewhat reasonable prices.

As for the other calibers, well the pricing is higher than 9mm obviously and I can't see a solid reason to burn up .40 per round at this point in any quantity unless that is all you have.  Good luck and good shooting.

.22 Ammo Shortage is still real and here is an update from another blogger that comports with my contention that this is mostly a government controlled shortage.

Gun Rights and Gun Ownership - 2A Means Something

We all know about the 2nd Amendment (2A) and generally it is understood that it is an individual right.  The gun control groups are constantly trying to find a way to limit these rights in a manner that will over time eliminate the meaning of the 2A.

Here is a strong statement of the push back from the gun owners that are no longer willing to submit to further gun restrictions.

Mayors pay for the Bloomberg alliance against guns.

55 of 62 Sheriffs in Colorado refuse to enforce new gun laws.

Sheriffs will not enforce new gun control laws.

It is nice to see some final push back against the gun grabbers.  Unfortunately, the government has found a new way to limit the utility of gun ownership by causing massive dislocations in the availability of ammunition.

A more recent effort by the government to limit ammo availability is closing of the last lead smelter in the USA by environmental regulations will increase prices.

Lead based bullets will be more expensive and other materials such as copper for bullets will likely increase ammo costs.

Needless to say, I'd put some away for a rainy day.  For your regular shooting, I'd find alternatives and supplements such as air rifles, BB pistols, dry fire drills,  and laser trainers.

Sitrep: US Defense Declining, Retirement Savings at Risk, Anti-bacterial Soaps Now a threat, Gun Grabber Update

U.S. Nuclear Missile Forces Are Burned Out
The decline of our military is evident in the lost mission readiness of the missile forces.  This is probably duplicated throughout the military as deployments extend, benefits drop, and political correctness destroys morale.

Retirement Savings is the new target
Savings inequality is the new mantra used by the left to redistribute wealth.  Expect some type of means testing for social security benefits and also don't be surprised by a seizure of retirement accounts to be incorporated into social security.  Even if they only take a percentage of the savings it would deal a lethal blow to many retirees and their planning.  In essence, those that saved and planned for the future will be punished and their wealth will be spread around.

FDA now warns against anti-bacterial soaps.
The naturalists knew this could happen and so it has happened.  The 10+ year experiment with these soaps laced with anti-bacterial agents now appear to have added a layer of health risk that good ole regular soap never caused.  Save those soaps for a medical emergency or something but I'd go back to the tried and true basic soap.  For a while it was actually hard to find standard liquid soap so I went back to bars.  Maybe this will fix things.

Gun Grabber Update

California Gun Owners Worried About Gun List
They should be worried since the only plausible reason for it is to seize their guns at the government's time of choosing.  It is always nice to have a list of what it is you are looking to take with you.

Colorado Sheriffs won't enforce new gun laws.
55 of 62 of them won't and the remaining ones are obviously Federalized by taking free goodies in exchange for submission.  Know your local Sheriff so you can know how you will be treated.

Knockout Game - Coming to Your Neighborhood

Find yourself on the street one day and imagine that going to the grocery store could put you in the sights of a murderous attacker who really is just doing it for kicks.  I have no interest in ending up on the ground for a curb stomping or some other form of entertainment enjoyed by the criminal class.

Knockout game is nationwide.
Hey, it's fun.  That is what the hoodlums think but when you get cold cocked and pummeled out of nowhere it is no fun at all.

How to protect yourself.  First off, you should be aware of your surroundings and if you hear steps coming up from behind step out of the way and look back well before they are right up on you.    Find a pretext to do so if you must but don't pretend no one is there and wait to find out if you are a target.

Trayvon may have been playing the knockout game.

Knockout game now in school hallways.

More attacks in Philly.

Never walk past or between a group in an environment where you have no help forthcoming if they attack.  I would stop coming forward and move to the other side of the street or turn around.  Don't give them what they want which is you to pretend you don't notice them as a threat since that would be deemed socially offensive.  Think about survival and not good manners.

If you can legally carry weapons do so.  At a minimum I'd carry a walking stick or cane and some type of chemical defense such as Pepper Spray.  If you are allowed to do so where you live you can always get a CCW permit and carry a handgun.

Watch your back.

Self Defense is a Right: It Depends

Maryland Man Charged With Murder After Stopping Home Invasion
Needless to say, if the exact same situation occurred and it was a policeman that killed the intruder coming into his home there would be no case at all.  It would be a good shooting or whatever they call it nowadays on the other side of the blue line.

So what do we make of this.  It appears that the state of Maryland in particular has decided that it is okay for the police to kill in defense of themselves and if by chance to protect and serve the public.  At the same time is is not okay for an armed citizen to take the exact same steps in defense of himself and others even if in his own home.

What to do:  I guess they are telling us to make sure to call 911 first so the operator on the other end can talk you out of defending yourself.  I'd have someone else make the call and make sure I protected myself and my family.  In Maryland the rule is that you must also retreat and avoid apparently to the point of waiting until you are choked out and the assailant is now proving that he means business before you can act.  Merely kicking in your door does not constitute a threat in the once Free State of Maryland.  That is what it has been called since November 1, 1864 and I now suggest they just dump that slogan in favor of one more appropriate such as the Flee State.

Sitrep: European Right Awakens, Death of Money, Chinese Troops in Hawaii

European move to the right rattles establishment politicians
It may be too late for them but at least they are awakening to the insanity of multiculturalism and socialism as a means of destroying their culture.

It may happen before then but all of us need to protect ourselves.  It may also be wishful thinking from that politician who I suppose wishes the Russian currency were distributed worldwide.

The Lies of Government - Obmamacare , Employment Figures, Gun Confiscation

Obamacare - Now Called ACA once it becomes a joke

Read this article on AP and you'll see that it is clearly not affordable.
The big question is how many of these dupes now in shock actually voted for the government that now has hurt them.  Statistically half of them deserve it.

The Administration decided to lie about the cancellation numbers.  It was known beforehand while they still pushed the keep your doctor and keep your plan mantra.

The kids that voted for this will now wake up to a new world they helped create with their votes.

What does this mean for the rest of us.  We are on thin ice when it comes to healthcare down the road due to doctor shortages and treatment rationing.

Do whatever you can to keep good health.

Employment figures fudged

1911 Again Adopted by the Marines - Stick with the 9mm

They went back to the old tried and true 1911.

12,000 on Order for 22.5 million

Review Colt M45A1

This really has limited relevance to our readiness.  It is important to note that while the military is limited to FMJ ammunition civilians and police are not.  Look at what the police choose and you will see few .45 caliber weapons.  True they have gone to .40 S&W, but many have not since it is more expensive, carries more recoil and blast, wears down the weapon faster, and is difficult for many shooters to manage and it is not really a joy to shoot.  I say stick with the 9mm and focus on the ammo, training, and best platform within that caliber that gives you safety, reliability, capacity, ease of use, and if needed concealment.

The alternate if going with a revolver is the .38 special and that is again the direction I would take, though you could go with a .357 if you want to man up.

Sitrep: China Threat - Nukes, Collapse Update, Social Breakdown, Age of Antibiotics is Over

 China Threat

China Threatens Nuclear Sub Attack on USA
This is an update to their threats back in the 90's when Clinton was in charge.  Now they have many more subs capable of hitting the US mainland with nuclear weapons and they know we have an extremely weak president at the moment. He is too busy crushing domestic opposition.

US Military Being Purged
This cannot come at a worse time since we have threats from all side including our main rival China.

1983 War Games Almost Caused Armageddon
If you think the Chinese bluster is a joke just remember how close we came to going at it with the Soviets over a game they thought was real.

Financial Collapse

Only One Peaceful Path To Avoid Destruction
Denninger is a math guy and his numbers usually make sense.  The bottom line for him is that we can't vote our way out of destruction.  Protect yourself.

Annihilation of US Dollar is Coming
This along with the confiscation of deposits to make banks whole will finish off the US economy and way of life.

Social Breakdown

NYC Coping with Flash Mobs
Gangs of bikers, skate boarders, and whatever else you can think of are now the next big problem for cities.  Think of Attila pushing his way through NY with his horsemen in a bid to show power and strike fear as he drove those victims of earlier conquests before him.  Do you want to live where this is allowed.  Not me.  Not ever.

Prepping May Be a Flag or Become Illegal

Here are some prepping ideas for social unrest.

Victims of Illegal Aliens Memorial
What more needs be said other than what a waste for good Americans to be killed by criminals not legally in the country.

Pandemics and Disease

The age of antibiotics is over according to the CDC.
So if you lived between 1950 and now you have been within a charmed timeline where most bacterial illnesses could be treated.  That is now coming to an end.

Managing The Risk of Old Age in Financial Collapse

Creating a Plan for Old Age - Investing in your Human Capital.

80 is the New 60 for Baby Boomers
This is probably more reflective of financial reality than a feeling of wonderful health and fulfillment.
Investing for retirement is not always about money.  It is actually investing for a productive future even into old age when retirement may be an option but it might not be the option you choose.  In a harsh economy or a collapsed economy your health, knowledge, and community involvement along with a family and friend support network may be your best ally for survival.  Rather than focusing all of your efforts on piling up loads of cash that might get taken from you, it might be best to work toward a more meaningful existence now.

Education and Skills

This includes education to keep you skilled and up to date so that you can compete with the youth coming into the marketplace.   It keeps your mind active and will help you make contacts and stay marketable.  I remember a guy putting in satellite dishes when he was in his 70's and I knew another who did CCTV security systems at the same age.

Become Self Employed

Self employment is another avenue that can give you that strong fallback plan when layoffs abound.  If you are the boss you can always cut prices just to make a living.  If you are an employee, they usually just cut your hours or your job.   Find a business that aligns with your skills and interests and you'll have a way to make a living where you can excel and enjoy.  Here is an idea for you.  Since you are somewhat into survival why not find an avenue of that to make a living.  Survival Business is Booming.

Own Your Home

This means something.  Sure you don't own the land it sits on since the state and county will tax you on it, but usually you can find the money to pay the taxes but finding the money to pay rent or a mortgage is a challenge as work becomes harder and you slow down.  If the economy slows down too then you are dealing with stress that would have been unnecessary if you had paid off your home.  Go small if you must.

Friends

Make friends with those old and young.  You'll need both and exposure to both groups can be helpful and rewarding.  Don't get stuck in your age category.

Find a Sport

Anything that gets you moving and around other people will suffice to keep you active long after many are stuck on the couch.  As a recommendation I'd take up something that limits risk of injury like golf, tennis, hiking, swimming, or even bowling.  I'd stay away from bicycles, motorcycles, jogging, basketball, and water skiing or jet skiing due to risk of injury.   As an add on to that, lift weights and by that I mean just 10 or 15 lb dumbbells to keep your arms strong.  Start now and keep going with it.   You will be amazed at how much strength you maintain.  Stretch every night if you can and at least do the hamstrings since they protect your back when loose and put it at risk when tight.

Read

Keep your mind active and engaged by reading anything and everything.  Even pulp fiction novels will do.

Write

Share what you know and what you have learned.  It is a creative process that will also help you organize and formulate in your mind those things you know into a cohesive and useful source of information.

Teach

Writing is a way of teaching but also teaching directly by individually teaching someone or a group a skill you know is very rewarding.  It can also open up many more ways for you to stay engaged with others and to make a living well past when you can work a production job.  Teaching helps others and by doing this you will help yourself.

Rest

Rest is essential for productivity.  Rather than taking vacations to recharge I have found it just as useful to just take time off daily for doing nothing but finding enjoyment.  Doing this is also good training for your reclining days of retirement if they ever come.  You may choose to keep working not just for income but for the joy of working at something you like to do.

If you notice something, almost everything on this list costs nothing or near nothing and in many cases can earn you income.

Sitrep: Financial Collapse, Racial Attacks, Militarized Police and Govt. Employees, Gun Grabbers

Financial Collapse
US Risks Joining 1933 German in Default
You know how that one ended as Herr Hitler ran things in Germany.  What is different now.  We have yet to go through hyperinflation.

Springfield, LA Wal Mart Shelves Cleared in EBT Frenzy
This is a portent of things to come as the center cannot hold.  Even DC can't make sure the computer system works all the time no matter how dangerous that is to stability.  Wal Mart just learned something too, you can't trust EBT card holders.

Illegals bleeding the system dry.
7 kids for 20 years and you wonder why the system is running in the red.  Multiply this times millions and you have a prescription for economic and social disaster.

Sundown in America by David Stockman
This is a well written description what has been done the the middle class to enrich the wealthy and in the process destroy the country.

 Racial Attacks

Soldier Just Back From War  Killed in Racial Attack on US Streets
There is no halo of safety for anyone whether in uniform or not when it comes to racial attacks.  Know where you are and consider being armed at all times if you can legally do so.

Blind Man Attacked on Philly Street
I'm not sure of the race of the victim but the attack was made on a blind man so that alone warrants this special inclusion.  It may not quality as a race based attack but it clearly more of the same type of gratuitous violence that is part of the landscape now.

Militarized Police and Govt. Employees

Armored Tanks for California Police
This is full militarization of local police

Park Rangers Go Gestapo
Locking people up in a hotel room goes way too far.

Lethal Autonomous Drones
This slippery slope also assumes that errors can't be made when you send a machine out to kill things without a human making the final call.  I guess they never watched Robocop.

Cop Dogs Are Now Racist Too
LAPD dogs bit only Hispanics and Blacks according to the news story.   I wonder if this is training or simply a situation where whites and Asians follow directions from police better.  Either way you can be sure millions will be wasted on a lawsuit to correct this and have the dogs bite other groups more often.  Cops will probably be given quotas on whom they must loose the dogs on.

TSA now doing pre-airport searches.
Soon they will want to implant that chip in our necks.

Gun Grabbers

Small scale random gun seizures won't get the job done.
This guy said he did the math and I believe him and it is apparent that if they want guns they'll need a pretext for full and mass confiscation.  An end around has been to create an ammo shortage which should be quite instructive to anyone watching on both sides.  Make sure you stock up on both steel and lead.

Start Storing Food Now

Food Supply is dependent on Refrigeration
If the grid goes down or becomes unreliable the food supply may become unreliable as well.  For this reason among many others I suggest putting aside some dried foods, canned foods, and freeze dried long term storage foods.  Most people won't make the effort to grow their own so any storage plan should consider how quickly foods decay if refrigeration is needed but not available.

Add a few cans of beans weekly to your list.  They supply needed protein and carbohydrates combined with fiber.  They store well once opened so you can rely on beans as a daily source of nutrition.  If you don't like the sodium content just rinse the beans before cooking.  I often just eat them cold.

Consider long term food storage such as freeze dried and nitrogen packed meals as only one component of your food storage and you will save lots  of money.  I would build my diet around what you can buy at the store such as dried beans, rice, pasta, and canned items.    These combined with water and freeze dried meals can give you a variety and a lower cost per meal.  Additionally, you will only be adding a small change into your diet if you take this route rather than never eating your long term storage foods and then relying on them as a sole food source.

USA Food Production Down 2% Per Year
This is a prediction of food shortages and starvation due to climate change which is questionable but government interference in the markets is the most likely culprit.  Either way, put away some food.

If a food shortage occurs make sure to maintain security.
If people that are starving know you have food you may be in for the fight of your life.  Keep things quiet about your food supplies both before and during a shortage.

Here is a great article on food storage requirements for nutrition to avoid starvation and malnutrition.

Unique Weapons for Survival

Toilet Brush Sniper Rifle
This could be the equivalent of a crossbow in close range effectiveness, less than 100 feet.  At $2 or so per brush it is probably cheaper than a crossbow bolt so makes for a good practice weapon.

Get a Degree in Drone Warefare
While you're at it, start attending those Satanic ritual meetings to rinse your soul of morality once and for all.  On the other hand, a backyard drone capability may not allow you to arm it but maybe give you a bird's eye view of your perimeter.  Stay tuned for future technology that will allow you to walk the perimeter by air.

Become a Thousand Yard Sniper with a Computer Programmed Smart Rifle
This could be a game changer for putting civilians on equal ground with Sniper school graduates that have an endless supply of ammo and time to train.

Taser Attacks in DC Show Value of Stealth Weapon
These weapons have ID tags attached so it must be assumed they were stolen.  In any event this appears to be along with stun guns a great stealth method of foiling or initiating an attack.  I wonder if body armor would stop these methods.  Time for some research.

3D Handgun  Works
It works well enough to get a SF Bay area writer to preface the article title with Uh Oh.  The wonders of technology.

It works.  More options for all of us.

Big Snoop.Gov

"When you talk, you teach. When you listen, you learn."

Paul Castellano

CIA and IRS Get Private Data on Citizens
From one investigation done to find customers of two men teaching people how to beat lie detector tests we end up with those people who had maybe only bought their books or videos.  That list has been parceled out to many government agencies and has taken a life eternal in the archives of these agencies.

Seattle Police Temporarily Turn OFF Snoop System in City
You know it's coming back.

NRA accuses NSA of Gun Registry
The back door gun registry program is probably multi-level.  Many states are implementing this as part of their gun purchase approval process.

Maryland Gun Laws Go Into Overdrive Oct. 1
Your personal info. has already been set loose in the open on the web thanks to the State of Maryland.

Government Health Care to Include Social and Behavioral Records
This is all part of the Affordable Health Care Act that will someday be nothing but a full dossier on your physical and mental background.  It will be a wonder treasure trove for snoops and anyone that wants dirt on you.

NSA Snooped on India by planting bugs
It seems reasonable the Brazil and India among others no longer trust the USA.  We spied on countries that likely didn't bother spying on us prior to this.  We are looking more and more like the real threat to world peace.  Even recognizing this is a world shattering event for most of us who believed in the America as the good guys.

National Prepaid Cell Phone Registry
They want it all baby.  They want you to have no means of private communication.

When the Government Steals

D.C. Property Owners Have Their Properties Stolen by Tax Sale
Here is the government working to steal all that you ever worked for and hoped to have for old age.  It is heart rending to read the stories of homeowners with dementia  that have their homes stolen from them.

Your money in the bank won't be your money if the banks fail.
The bail ins are coming and the bad luck for you will be trying to sell your bank stock for anything once the economy collapses.  Your best bet is hard assets and cash in your physical possession.

One man withdraws consent to the theft by government to further the extortion.
This is called the John Gault Method of which I approve.  Work less, live more, and hand over fewer of your hours as an indentured servant to Big Gov in the form of taxes.

Ammo Prices Stabilize

Wow, have times changed and the Feds have done an excellent job of restricting the market
I must give them credit on this for without their strenuous and continuous effort with our money to restrict supply I doubt the prices would have held up so long.

Availability increases for everything but .22 LR indicate that supply vs demand has at least stabililized at a higher price structure.  Wally world when available $24 per brick of 550 and at gun shows $45-55 for .22 LR.   Recent gun show prices for boxes of 50 rounds of .22 indicate a new price of close to .20 per round since they were going for $8-10 per box of 50 which was the old price for 9mm.

Here is an example what what .22 is going for when you want to get it now.

Gun show visits show availability is up for most ammo types and cost has gone down from peaks.

Examples:

5.56 - 400 rounds of Federal Green Tip in the can were $399. and are now down to $299.  Before the crunch you could find a can for $150-$175.

Try this.  Palmetto State Armory Green Tip 1000 rd  xm855cs bulk pack $419.99

7.62x39mm Russian made non-corrosive is now back down to earth at around .30 per round both online and at shows.

5.45 x 39 is around at .30 per round for non-corrosive.  A corrosive tin of 1080 rounds is going for around $220 online but so far none are found at shows.

9mm is still found at Wally World for $13-14 up from $11 but you only see it when a delivery truck arrives and it is out shortly thereafter.

12 and 20 gauge shotgun bulk boxes of 100 in 7 1/2 shot are becoming more steadily available at Wally World.   The average price is closing on $29 per box up from $22 per box of 100 before  Gun shops have 12 and 20 but prices are much higher.

5.7mm is around but still very pricey at $40 per box of 50 vs $25 before.

.308 is still around $1 or more per round depending on whether it is surplus or new manufacture hollow point hunting rounds that can go up over $1.75 per round.

Self Defense Ammo is available at most shops in the PA, MD, DE, VA, WV, and OH area.  I have no current updates on TX or ID.

Super-bugs - Urgent Threat

 Nightmare outbreak in Illinois
When the expert worry you know it is time to consider a new way of life.  I'm thinking igloo.  This is out of our control now and someday it will cut loose.

Superbug Threat Urgent - CDC
Efforts to manage the growing resistance of drugs to newly forming super-bugs is a losing battle.  It is one that experts claim is a result of overuse of antibiotics and therefore doctors should be less willing to dispense them.  So you go in for a tick bite and show some signs of concern but the doctor might hold back so as not to over-prescribe while you get a dose of Lyme disease.  Don't say it can't happen because it has and does.  Meanwhile, you can go to the third world, Mexico for example, and pick out what you need right across the counter.  So tell me how doctors will actually slow the spread of resistant bacteria while the flea market sale of antibiotics is going on.  Another issue is that research on new drugs isn't happening or at least not at past rates.  Instead, through government regulation research has dwindled and we give away billions overseas for wasted projects while we can't seem to fund important research like this.  Grab your hat because we are in for a rough ride.

In 20 years or less we may lose access to antibiotics and go back to 19th century medicine
Over use of these drugs has done the job.  It is in the chicken feed, and other food given to stock animals.  Doctors give you an antibiotic prescription every time you get sick even though many times it is a virus.  It doesn't look good unless you are hoping to see a big culling.

Drug Resistant Gonorrhea Sickens Millions
I have four words to describe what needs to be done to protect yourself from this one.
KEEP YOUR PANTS ON

23,000 Killed Each Year By Super-bugs
Statistically this number may not get you but eventually it will get someone you know.  More importantly, this number will probably increase drastically as the super-bug population increases over time.  The number one thing to do is stay out of hospitals if at all possible.  The number two thing is to treat all wounds immediately as if you are at risk of serious infection.  The number three thing  is to make your own food and not buy it prepared from a restaurant.  Finally, as stated before, keep you pants on since sexually transmitted disease is the most preventable by not imbibing.  If you must, wear protection.

Man dies within hours from Seawater borne bacteria.
This should help get you thinking clearly about all the risks from bacteria out there.  Cook your own food, never go barefoot into water and if given a choice stay out of brackish or warm water of any kind.  This risk is much greater than it has ever been.

Another Kind of Superbug - Giant Killer Hornets
This is a great idea for immigration.  Bring these things into the USA along with snake-head fish and an unending torrent of aliens that hate us but want the great country we built.

Sitrep: TB Nightmare, Grid Risk, Federal Land Grabs, Racial Mobs Attack, War - Saving Face

Riding the Coughing Dog - Get a dose of TB as you take a Bus Ride
Consider whatever money you might save by taking a bus, train, or plane as you get to share air with untested entries into our country.  We are being mobbed and the government has no concern about it.  Protect yourselves.  By the way, even an elevator ride can give you enough time to pick up TB if you get some direct exposure to a virulent TB strain.

Companies and Emergency Responders Join in Grid Down Exercise
This is great for the companies but what about us.  I suggest you consider all variations of back-up light, heat, and power sources.

Feds Seizing Land Along the border for Cut Rate Prices
This is clearly taking without just compensation but at this stage if you are a landowner you are out of luck.  Remember when you buy land that it really isn't yours since you must pay taxes on it and later if it has some supreme value the government may take it and give it to another entity willing to set up shop and pay more taxes.  Another risk to ownership is demonstrated by perceived government need and  if the gov has a purpose of its own you won't have a chance.

Feds Perform Safety Checks in Body Armor and Heavily Armed
This has many meanings but one of them is that the goons are practicing.  Secondly, many revel in their pseudo Special Operations fantasy come true.  Third, they are working on conditioning the populace to accept such sights of overwhelming police strength and force in any situation.

Racial Mob Attacks - Bing Search
Run your own search about racial mob attacks and you will find the hidden story about danger simply from being in the wrong place when a mob finds you.  The ongoing racial war is essentially one sided where unsuspecting whites find themselves targets of large groups racially motivated mobs.  If you see a large congregation of people that are in your vicinity just assume you could be a target.
Here is how it can happen when you are in a seemingly safe place.

Congress Asked to Approve War in Syria
When a country attacks another country we usually call it war.  When a country attacks its own people we may call it civil war.  It now appears the USA is intent on getting involved in another civil war in Syria primarily based on saving face for setting a red line that was probably crossed.  In addition the information used to justify the war may be faked by opponents in the civil war or withheld by interested governments.  The one thing clear is that we don't need to help another country fall into chaos by intervening and then having to manage the mess.  The risk here is that oil prices could skyrocket if the war goes regional.  It even has the potential to become a world war so keep making your preparations for a grid down, economic collapse, or social chaos.  Things have never been so bright for the dogs of war.

Societal Collapse Indicators: Taser Attacks in DC, Racial Attacks, Media Lies

Taser Attacks in DC portent a new Robbery Method
This immobilizes the victim quietly so they can be robbed, beaten, or killed.  Needless to say this is scary since the attackers will feel more brazen about using a stealth weapon for taking someone down.

It will be brushed away by bureaucrats and dictators in charge.

This is the kind of thing that turns your stomach.

You know things are getting bad when they have to resort to this.  Check out the story in Gary, Indiana.

Breakdown in the Rule of Law and the Societal Contract
The willingness to flout the rule of law is now epidemic.  Part of it comes from the obvious examples set by politicians all the way up to the WH.  In this case many people are passing off their pets as service dogs.   This reminds me of the regular use of handicapped tags by those who are not handicapped.

When the Media Lies to Keep the Facade in Place
When a white student is killed by black youths the mention of color is left out of the story.
In an essay by Stein he makes it clear that discussing the truth or even acknowledging it is absent in the U.S. media. The truth is there for all to see and yet they are unable to mention it for fear of being called racist.

DC/Baltimore/Wilmington/Richmond/Philadelphia/Charleston first in risk.  Who would have thought.  Of course all of our enemies would have especially when you think DC and the rest of these areas are just what might be called collateral damage.  No matter what type of disaster occurs whether natural such as a virus, man made stupidity like a meltdown, or terrorist attacks with CBRN
the risk is not contained by boundaries other than distance.

Here are a few things you can do to protect yourself.

American Sheep - Your Fellow Citizens Will Easily Sell You Out - Learning to Bow to Authority

DOD lists conservative views as a terrorism indicator
The loyalty oaths to the regime are getting more direct and soon we wonder if like in the days of the 3rd Reich they will have to personally swear loyalty to the Dear Leader.  The founding fathers with their extreme views on liberty would not have fit in at all and now would not be acceptable views for anyone in the military.

America to sign onto the U.N. Small Arms Treaty
And this is the biggest step to eventual renunciation of the 2nd amendment by the left.

Americans sign a petition to free illegals and make them citizens even if they are murderers and rapists in jail.  I wonder if you could get them to sign that same petition for Americans to be released.

An American U.S. Senator wants to determine who is a real journalist by whether they are paid.
There is nothing in the constitution regarding free press that says what the pay scale must be for someone to be a member of the press.  This is where despots want to go with things.

Ammo Shortage Fallout Spreads to BB Guns

I was joking a few months back when I said there would be a BB shortage.  It is no longer a joke.  If you look on Amazon you'll find that Daisy 6,000 round BB containers are not currently available where just a few weeks ago they were.  Wally World has the same problem.  I've gone into five different Wally World stores and none had the bulk 6k BB containers in stock.  One store was down to one 2,400 round bb container.

So the Federal Goons have accomplished something really amazing.  They have dried up ammo so much with their bulk purchases that civilians have had to resort to BB guns for practice.  So many have taken that route that there are now shortages in the availability of pellet and BB gun supplies.  Are slingshots and archery supplies next.  This must be a liberal anti-gunners dream.

Suggestion:  If you are shooting pellet or BB guns make of point of getting all the supplies you can afford in the way of BB and pellet ammunition.

 Here are some online sources:

Or you might consider Airsoft.

Situational Awareness - Where Not to Hang Out

Ten places to visit and ten to avoid.

I really enjoyed this article on the ten friendliest and 10 unfriendliest places to visit.
I'll give you an admission that I've been to at least 5 of these places that are the unfriendliest and to none of the friendliest.  Unfriendly might be taken as a place where you can be handed your head or your teeth.  I agree that Newark belongs in the #1 spot but Camden N.J. holds promise.  But we can only name ten so you can see that five of those cities reside in the U.S.A.

Do some online research before you visit.
The truth is though that the wrong neighborhood in an ostensibly functional city can get be deadly.  I can name names.  How about Cherry Hill in Baltimore or Orleans Street and Front or North Avenue.   Ask the cops there and they'll tell you but be careful when you talk to them.

Looking for a Beatdown?
In Philly, PA,  try Broad street.
Try Church in in Richmond, VA.
Memphis, Tenn has a number of choice spots for mayhem, and for that matter even Knoxville does.
Kansas City offers you so many opportunities that I won't name them.
All of these places can be quite unfriendly.

Advice:  Check beforehand when you plan to visit a locale and ask those you know that live there where to avoid.  It can save you much heartache and possibly your life.

Industrial Farms Are Creating Superbugs

Farm use of antibiotics is increasing resistance to antibiotics for many bacterium.

This might suggest limiting your intake of non organic meats but the rise of these bacteria that are resistant and released in the general  human population means that staying away from the products produced by industrial farms won't truly protect you.

In China the regular habit of people living with their ducks and chickens and pigs in close proximity is akin to industrial farming in the likely event that they will use some of the same methods such as antibiotic laced foods.  Recent human to human virus transmission in China on H7N9 bird flu is an example.

Super Honey may help healing and fight infections.
Going back to natural cures may be a great means of coping with infections.

Post antibiotic era ushers in the risk of superbugs..

Sitrep: Big Bro and Your Freedom of Movement

Your privacy is under assault in many ways and here is an insidious one.  No matter where you go, if you are driving a car with a license plate on it there is a likely chance your movements will be noticed and noted through a optical scanning system for license plates.  Of course this is only to find criminals but with such a database your every movement and whereabouts will be a matter of record if you are driving a vehicle.

Georgia Sheriff plans to use system to scan 1000 plates per hour.

Seattle collects 7 million license plate photos last year.

How license plate readers work.

90% of Survival is Behavior

Look, Listen, and Pay Attention
Then Act Accordingly.
Don't do stupid things.

Most of us think of survival as coping with starvation or exposure in the wilderness, but that is only a small danger to your physical existence in modern society.  Most of your risk comes from driving your car, walking in the wrong neighborhood, or falling off a ladder.  Electrocutions, drowning, tumbling down the stairs, or getting knifed or shot by someone you know rounds out the threats to your life.

Here are an assortment of items in the news to give you an example of why behavior can give you a short ride to playing the harp in the afterlife.

Man calls a female police officer nasty name during a confrontation and she shoots him dead.  He was unarmed but apparently acting erratic and in the process of an emergency call she is faced with an aggressive guy who caught her on the wrong day.  He is no longer with us.

Lesson Learned:  Don't get the police chasing you and especially don't call them names when they have a gun pointed at you.

Woman and boyfriend jump from cruise ship and are lost at sea.
Disappearances from cruise ships happen all the time.  Every now and then someone is seem jumping but getting pushed off probably happens often enough as well.   The Navy loses sailors on ships regularly as well, but you just never hear about it.

Lesson Learned: I'll skip the Love Boat and spend my time at the beach.  If someone wants you in the water on a cruise ship they just have to pick the right time when you are unaware and unnoticed.  Here are some ideas if you must go on a cruise ship anyway.

Woman falls off 17th floor apartment balcony railing in NYC.
This happens all the time too.  I hear about it at resorts where people get drunk and show off while doing headstands on the balcony or just sit on it like somehow they are immune to the laws of gravity.

Lesson Learned:  Don't sit on balconies railings or railings of any kind for that matter if they are more than two or three feet above the ground level.  Also, don't stay in the area if someone else is doing such a stupid thing since you might be blamed for pushing them.

Man dies of electrocution after urinating on the subway third rail.
This may not happen all the time but it reinforces the thought about the risk of electrocution.

Lesson Learned:  Don't pee on the the third rail with your third rail.

Man dies while pooping on the subway tracks while between trains.
Why not go in an alley if you have to that bad.  And a second man was drunk and was hit by the train as well on the same night.

Lesson Learned:  Shall I state the obvious.  Don't poop on subway tracks especially when trains on on them.

Elderly man run over by elderly woman's car.
The woman suffered from a medical condition and it appears the man was run over by her car when it rolled back over him after hitting some other vehicles.  I had a friend who was run over by a car from an elderly woman who blacked out.  He died within minutes.

Lesson Learned:  Don't hang around near elderly people who are driving and pay close attention to what they are doing.  I am not joking about this.  Often they have lost many of the observation skills that might prevent them from running you over.  Many are deaf so won't hear you yelling or screaming.  When I get that old I hope to be riding around in a golf cart or have a chauffeur.

The Haves VS the Have Nots

Here is a good example of the beautiful people with cash feeling themselves above the rest of us get in front of the line to obtain nutrients that are in tight supply for preemies.   Use this as an example of where you will end up in line for food, gasoline, heating fuel, and medical care down the road if we get a collapse going.  There will be those who live above the rest of us and will look down on us like street urchins.  How can you avoid this fate.  Well, few options exist other than to live in a small town where personal relationships may count more than you position in society.   Short of that, store plenty of precious metals for trade of goods and services.

Microbes are the Big Enemy

The recent story about the girl who contracted the brain eating amoeba from a water park should give anyone pause.  Here is what you must consider anytime you touch, drink, inhale, or immerse yourself in water, dust, or simple things like door knobs.  The residing microbes on any of these surfaces can be deadly given the right environment or weakness in your immune system.    Here is a list of do and don't do suggestions.

Do

1.  After you pump gas wipe your hands with a some antibacterial.  I usually carry child wipes that have alcohol or something like antibacterial wipes so that if I have touched anything that is suspect I will clean my hands.

2.  Wash your hands regularly even if it just a rinse in water with some hand rubbing agitation while rinsing them.  It will cut way down on the levels of bacteria on your hands.

3.  Stay away from places that exude filth such as public bars with overflowing toilets or stadiums.

Don't Do

1.  Don't swim in lakes, ponds, streams, or rivers and whatever you do don't go underwater.

2.  Don't eat at restaurants but if you must do so stick with items that are hard to spoil.  I never get things with mayonnaise at restaurants, or shellfish, but that is just me.

3.  I had a grandfather who was at times a chef and he always said stay away from stews and soups when you eat out.  Most of these can be leftovers from prior customers.

4.  Don't stay in hotels but if you must remember that the sheets may have been used the night before by a previous guest.  That is one of the dirty secrets of the hotel business.  I used to carry a sleeping bag with me and slept on top of the bed.  Of course bedbugs could still the be big worry there.

5.  If you spend any time in a doctor's office or hospital go home and shower and wash your clothes.  The disease in hospitals is everywhere and your presence there a only exposes you this risk.

6.  Don't make out with someone you don't have some serious knowledge of their background.  Needless to say this goes double for sexual relations.

7.  Don't share liquids with others by using the same glass or water bottle.  I prefer to drink beer from the bottle so I don't have to worry about bar methods of cleaning glasses.  You might be sipping from a glass previously slobbered on by someone with any of the saliva present diseases.  HIV, HEP_C, HERPES, and many more.

8.  If you must shake hands find a way to wash your hands shortly afterword.  Who knows where those hands have been.

Good luck and stay clean and healthy.

Sitrep: Financial Collapse, Infectious Diseases, Crime, Corruption, and Travel Risks

MYANMAR FACING 'URGENT' DRUG-RESISTANT TB THREAT
This threat is only a international flight away from the USA.   The odds are it is already here and gives you something to enjoy thinking about when you get in an elevator, bus, movie theater or classroom.

Mers Virus Found in Saudi Bat
Now it can fly.  Cross species risk increases dramatically and this one is the world ending kind.

Denninger Calls the Coming Disaster Worse than 1929
He may be right and he may be wrong but I would at least hedge my bets and go with some hard assets that can't be monetized away into worthlessness.

Lord Monckton, financial collapse not whether but when
We all know basic economics simply from knowing that you can't extend credit out forever without eventually paying the bill.  Either the debtor pays it or the lender does.  The lender may by default pay much of this debt but the American people are the debtors and will not have a currency left standing once the debt is repudiated.  What does this mean for you, get hard assets in place now or be left standing with empty pockets and worthless dollars.

Squirrel in Public Park Carries Black Plague
If you are exposed to flea bits from an outdoor source I would watch my symptoms carefully.  It is easily treated with antibiotics.

CDC Says Unknown Stomach Bug is spreading
I personally will eat out less and less and the risks increase.  At least that vector won't exist as long as you cook at home.

Brutal Rape in Ukraine Due to Government Official Lawlessness Foreshadows USA
We have politicians now such as former presidents that have gotten away with sexual assaults and now have many other in government that just do what they want and flaunt the law knowing they are backed up by superiors.  We are only a stones throw from this kind of corruption especially as we import people from corrupt cultures that are quite comfortable with such happenings.

Flash Mob in a D.C. Store
This is what you might find yourself in the middle of if you inhabit an urban area.

Train Wreck in Spain Due to Negligence
This is why I don't take buses, trains, and generally prefer to drive rather than fly nowadays.  The system is breaking down.

Sitrep: World Events

Bash mobs move through Southern Calif.
Stay out of high density urban areas where you may have no exit in the event of a conflagration.  This could elevate to national riots and violence if the politicians continue to fan the flames.  Stay armed if you can legally do so.

Chinese Currency Moving into Reserve Status
When you have a chorus of power drunk fools running the U.S. financial system it is no surprise that investors and business operators are looking for alternatives to the Greenback.  Here comes the Redback and with it the same elements of international domination that the USA has always been accused of committing.  If you want a hedge I'd go with lead instead of gold or silver.  It seems more and more likely that you will have a use for the lead and with prices where they are for ammunition anyone who invested in lead a while ago is in the best position.

Australia no longer will accept boat people as refugees.
This has the ring of the book "Camp of the Saints."

The Fear of Infestations and Bug Bites

One guy in a courtroom with bedbugs crawling on him caused a panic and an ensuring mass psychosis.
They evacuated the courtroom where he was and many people felt itchy long after he was gone and the place was sprayed.  I can tell you right now I would have reacted the same way.  Bed bugs, fleas, scabies, chiggers, or whatever gets on you are enough to drive you crazy.  How do you cope with them.  First off, stay away from any place you know that has had problems.  If you do suspect you've been exposed to any of these vermin each has a method of coping to prevent or rid your home and yourself of the problem.

Bed bugs are bad news because it costs big bucks to fix the problem unless you get lucky.  The DIY methods is to Seal the mattresses in plastic, put boric acid in all baseboard cracks  and under furniture, and spray with some type of insecticide like flea spray.  The problem with this is that it won't be guaranteed to work.  Oh, and wash all sheets and consider dumping your pillows.  You may have to do this multiple times.  Worst case, call an exterminator that uses heat treatment.  Risk includes insecticide poisoning due to personal exposure which is a bad health risk.

Department of Health Infected with Bedbugs

Scabies require skin treatment with some type of bug specific cream by prescription.  An old cure is to mix shortening with sulfur powder and apply it to your skin.  Risk with the shortening method is to look stupid as hell with this on you and you have to stay home.  I have no idea whether there is a risk to your health from rubbing yourself down with shortening.

Fleas are relatively easy.  Spray  and if you have a major infestation, use a bug bomb but be sure to do it safely.   Risk:  Some people have blown up their dwellings due to gas pilots or other devices that cause an explosion when used incorrectly.  Don't breathe the sprays or bug bombs or you will get sick and may have to visit the emergency room for treatment.

Mosquito are an annoyance but carry risk of infection.  Now as a result of research you can find out why you seem more vulnerable to bites from mosquito than others.  My suggestion for dealing with mosquito is to get a Bug Tamer outfit.  It actually does work.   West Nile Spreading.
Another thing that may help is an essential oil that may work better than deet without the risk chemicals offer.  I still use deet to spray clothing and hats and try to keep it off my skin.

Chiggers are easy.  Put fingernail polish over the bites and smother them.  Risk: Make sure you're not allergic to the polish.  Don't use pink if you are a guy and have bites all over your legs and then wear shorts or people will make assumptions.  Avoid inhaling the fumes from the polish.

Ticks are bad news because they are hard to detect and spread numerous dangerous and potentially deadly and debilitating infections.   The list of diseases spread by ticks is long and increasing daily.  A lot of what you think you know about ticks is either incorrect or based on the limited information surrounding them as far as research goes.  Here is my advice based on proven protection from them.  If you have a choice stay out of the woods or grass but the truth is that they can sense skin oil scent and therefore will wait on a door knob of a shed, a gate post,  or piece of wood on the ground that you touch.    Protective measures.  Spray the area around you home with insecticide.  Keep the grass cut low and avoid shaded areas.  Wear white clothing with pants and shirts tucked in.  You can see even the smallest deer tick on white clothing where you couldn't see it on blue jeans.  Spray your boots and socks and even your pants with deet based repellent so it will help repel mosquito and keep ticks from sensing your scent.  Pyrethrin based sprays also work but are very toxic to insects and is not recommend on your skin so be careful with that.  Bug Tamer outfits also work against ticks but since they are dark or camouflaged you will have to still check for ticks and put the clothes in a place where the ticks are killed such as plastic bag a hot car.  If you have dogs they are a serious vector for exposing yourself to ticks even if you don't go in the woods.

How to remove a tick.

Tickinfo - I found this site very useful and in particular how to use permethrin and deet.

The Government Created Ammo Shortage

The company line put out by large ammo manufacturers that the current shortage is a result of demand and hoarding seems to point the blame at consumers.  Of course they seem to forget that government hoarding is the biggest source of all of the stress on ammo production.  Another cause of the private demand for ammo to go up so rapidly is the stated goal of the government to limit access and availability of firearms to the public.

Another concern is now the EPA attempt to restrict access to lead bullets and instead to get states to require green ammo/non-lead.

Bullet Health Fears Dry Up Ammo Supply as EPA Demands Green Ammo.
The latest step in the administration's attempt to restrict supply is to push states to require green ammo or ammo with no lead.  Since bullets have always been made of lead it isn't a wonder that this has caused another panic in the purchase of bullets and ammunition components.  Even the raw materials are getting the government attack by their plan to close the lead mines in the country through EPA restrictions and findings.  Here is one example.

Give it time and Fedgov will set their sights on pellet rifles too.

Privacy and Digital Security Means Increased Personal Security

Feds want Internet Companies to Give up User Account Passwords
This kind of outrage is what proves that nothing is sacred among the goons in charge of our government.  Meanwhile, they have secret email accounts to keep their crooked activities private.

Most committed terrorists have already tailored their activities to limit exposure whereas most citizens don't hide their actions which someday could be used against them.

Twitter agrees to release names of users that post racist remarks.
So far this is in France, but you can see the writing on the wall.  This is to stifle speech and in Europe the plan is to legally enforce conformity to speech laws and eventually thought crimes.

If you want security for your documents you might go back to the typewriter.  I'm serious.
The Kremlin has decided to do that to avoid electronic data loss.  It makes perfect sense since you can limit copying and know where the original came from.  Hand couriers can limit risk of information loss.  Mailing typewritten letters has secrecy limits but done properly is potentially much safe than electronic communications.

Yahoo intends to release for reuse email address dormant for a year or more.
The question is what happens if an old contact tries to reach you by that address.  Also, Yahoo says that the old emails will go away.  I hope so.

Reasons to Wear a Helmet In the Field

When the bullets are flying stay indoors or wear a helmet.

Lots of people die every year from stray bullets fired into the air by idiots during the holidays.  Here is a story of a boy that died on the 4th of July.

The thing to know is that in the event things get out of hand someday and you hear gunshots around the area, there is a benefit to wearing a Kevlar helmet.  It will save you from a falling bullet and especially one that is coming down from a 10 - 90  degree angled shot into the air.  All are potentially deadly.

Independence Day

I hope anyone reading this finds some solace in knowing that our forefathers once faced seemingly hopeless circumstances in their quest for Independence.  In the current police state and empire seeking status of our country it is a reminder that liberty can disappear and has already in many ways.

Read De Toqueville on the Dangers of Despotism

USA July 4th Celebration under the Watchful Eyes of the Police
Yes, and why.  Because we have left the gates open and the barbarians are among us so we should all be watched.

America Divided on Independence Day

Take this day to be thankful if you saw America at the Zenith for now we are seeing an attempt to reduce this country by those who would have us be more like others with no history of battling for freedom.

Celebrate our Independence as an act of defiance to those who would end it.

Ammo Shortage Update - Wally World Ammo Line

Shopping at Wally World

With the shortages going on right now when it comes to ammo it is really sad that Wally World is one place where it is most evident.  I've dropped by the ammo section religiously whenever shopping there and all you ever see is a few shotgun shell boxes and rarely even the bulk packs of that.  It has been that way for the past six months.

The Story of a an ammo find at Wally World

I was on the way down the highway and noticed a Wally Tractor Trailer in front of me.  I changed lanes to take the exit to the Wally Center nearby.  He almost missed the turn and I let him in and then I noticed the driver picked the wrong lane.  I held back until he noticed his mistake and got in front of me and meanwhile the driver behind me was getting very unhappy.  I did my good deed for the day and went to to my shopping without thinking anything of it.  Later while visiting the sporting goods section I noticed a line forming and asked what it was about.  A few people said, "ammo delivery."

So I got in line.  As I waited the realization that my Karma had improved by letting that delivery truck get in front of me twice.  I was getting my reward.  We waited and I talked with the other dozen or so waiting customers and I found out that most had called in beforehand and knew a delivery was scheduled.  So this was some good intelligence that I hadn't considered as an approach to know when ammo arrived.   A number of those there were getting in regular purchases by doing this and one guy told me he was able to pick up a box of 250 rounds of 9mm and two 100 round boxes.  On this day all I could get were 3 x 50 round boxes of 9mm Federal for $13.95 each which was much better than the $28 per box at the gun shows and $20 per box at some of the gun shops if they had any at all.

They had .45, .40. 9mm, .380, .38, 5.56, and some hunting rounds for 30-30 and a few other  rifle calibers that are mostly deer hunter rounds.

What to know:

3 box limit - That means to pick what you can't find easily anywhere else.

Multiple deliveries weekly - call and see if they will tell you when the deliveries are anticipated.

Bring along a wife, friend, or legal age son or daughter so they can get 3 boxes too.

Good luck and let those Wally World Delivery trucks have the right of way.  It may help your Karma.
