Obsolete doesn't mean useless
This is why owning items that are now considered obsolete or less than modern have the advantage or working when modern conveniences like the web, wifi, Internet connectivity, and the grid go away.

As much as I like modern tools and technology there is something to be said for Oil lamps, kerosene heaters, hammers, hand saws, screw drivers, and pencils.

Keep your old WW2 bolt action rifles around as well as lever actions and single action pistols.  Each has a place.  Somehow I think that revolvers will never go away because of their simplicity.  Until the laws of physics change it will do the job.
