This list works.  I think the Glock 19 is almost on everyone's list.  The other one, a .40 S&W I question simply because of the long term viability of using it as you age.  Recoil matters.   The revolver choice is excellent but just about any good Smith, Colt, or Ruger revolver will do the job in .38/.357mag.
