Rock or a Hard place - gold will surge

We hear an endless stream of these predictions.  It is hard to say if or when it may happen.   The  best way to cope with the risk is to limit it by taking a small position in gold or silver.  Having some on hand is great and if you want to roll the dice there are always mining stocks.  I've personally never done well with the stocks, but I still consider a 5% position something I can use to protect my standard investments.  Metal you have at home of course is the safest of all when it comes to protecting yourself against inflation.  As for a full collapse, it is still best to start with no debt, land and a home with no mortgage, food, water, other supplies, and a means of earning an income.
