Notice they don't really care about the kids in schools or they would also add that it is time to do something about school security.  Gun confiscation is their goal and simply put it isn't going to happen anytime soon.  There are too many people who own them that aren't willing to become defenseless knowing that law enforcement usually arrive afterwards.
