Ammo Shortage Update - .22 and 9mm most acute

This is a rundown of pricing for ammo.

East Coast .22 bricks $50 at gun shops if available.  I saw a brick of .22 short (500) rds for $46.50 in a store near Dover Delaware.

Gun show prices are still around $100 for a brick of Federal bulk pack 550 rounds in the PA, MD, VA area.

5.56 military ball - .75 - $1 per round in York, PA

.17 HMR $16 per 50

.22 WMR $16-18 per 50

9x18 Hornady 25 round defense box under-priced at $20 each for this current market.

.22 long rifle box of 50 rounds in Delaware $6.95
9mm not available in Delaware.  .22 WMR available

Austin, TX random purchase by a friend at a gun show was a brick for $30.   The guy didn't know what he had apparently. Wally World shelves are bare except for shotgun rounds.

In Tucson, AZ what I believe is a 20 round box of .223 is $40 according to this article.
Ammo in Tucson is in short supply especially .22 and 9mm target ammo.  I have a friend that said the Wally World shelves are bare there.

Gun shops in VA have a price of $29 or higher per box of 9mm ball that are about the same as gun shows.

Gun shops selling .45 ACP ball for $45 a box in the PA, VA, MD area.

Sarasota, Fla  store still has defense ammo but no prices given in article.

A range in Maryland that sells ammo had a 2 box limit for ammo 3 weeks ago is now down to 1 box and they are talking about separating down to baggies soon depending on how severe the shortage becomes.  These are rounds they expect you to shoot at their range and they still have to limit you due to an increasingly short supply.

Nationwide shortage is plaguing shooters and retailers alike.
Advice:  Stop shooting your ammo and go to laser trainers, pellet rifles, and BB guns. Only shoot what you can replace.

Here is a writer that says buy and hoard any ammo you can find.
